Corundum Castable
Application Scenario: Suitable for core working areas of steel refining furnaces such as RH, VOD, AOD, and LF, as well as non-ferrous smelting furnaces.
Product Features
●-High temperature resistance
●-Good flowability
●-Excellent thermal shock stability
●-Strong slag erosion resistance
01.Exceptional Refractoriness & High-Temperature Strength
The main aggregate is corundum (Al₂O₃ content ≥90%), with a refractoriness ≥1790°C and a refractoriness under load ≥1600°C. It achieves a cold crushing strength of 80-150 MPa, maintaining excellent structural strength at high temperatures without easy deformation or collapse, making it suitable for ultra-high temperature applications.
02.Superior Erosion & Wear Resistance
The high hardness and dense structure of the corundum material enable it to resist erosion from steel slag, non-ferrous metal smelting slag, acidic/alkaline media, and high-temperature gas flow. It effectively reduces dissolution, wear, and spalling, offering a service life far exceeding that of ordinary castables, and is ideal for severely eroded core areas.
03.Excellent Thermal Stability & Structural Integrity
Forms a seamless monolithic structure after installation, eliminating joints and preventing overall failure due to joint damage, thereby ensuring high operational safety.
04.No-Fire Curing & Flexible Installation
Requires no pre-firing; simply mix with water and it's ready for casting and vibration forming. Easily adapts to complex kiln lining shapes (such as furnace bottoms, walls, flues, nozzles, etc.), fills gaps between brickwork, provides good overall sealing, and allows for high installation efficiency.
